Who this policy covers

This site is owned and operated by Just Jake (Jake Langford), ABN 29 176 853 055, based in Western Australia. This policy explains how information is handled when you visit justjake.com.au, use one of the free tools, submit an enquiry form, or contact Jake directly.

What information is collected

1. Enquiry and business review forms

When you submit the "Review My Business" form, the website enquiry form, or any similar form on this site, the details you provide (such as your name, email, phone number and a description of your business or situation) are collected so Jake can respond to you. These forms are hosted by Tally, a third-party form provider — see their own privacy policy for how they handle submitted data in transit and storage.

2. Free tools (Automation Opportunity Finder, Stop Doing It Twice, and others)

Several tools on this site let you save your answers so you can continue later. If you're not signed in, that saved progress is stored locally in your own browser (using your device's local storage), not on our servers.

3. Optional accounts

Creating an account is optional and never required to use any free tool. If you do create one, we collect your name and email address (via Netlify Identity, our account provider) so you can log back in. You can optionally tell us your business name and industry — this is only used to help point you toward more relevant tools and advice, and is never shared or sold. If you're signed in when you use a tool, the result you generate is saved to your account — stored in a database — so you can pick it up again on a different device instead of starting over. We also keep a simple record of which pages you've viewed while signed in, so we can show you what's new since your last visit. Signed-in members can also optionally upload a file (a document, spreadsheet or image) if they'd like Jake to take a look at something directly — these files are stored securely and are only accessible to you and Jake. None of this account information is used for anything beyond making your account useful to you and, where you've chosen to share a file, helping Jake help you.

4. Website analytics

This site uses Google Analytics (GA4) to understand which pages and tools are actually useful. This includes standard analytics information such as pages viewed, approximate location (derived from IP address), device and browser type, and specific tool-completion events (for example, that someone finished the Automation Opportunity Finder, without recording their individual answers). Google Analytics uses cookies to do this — see Google's privacy policy for how they handle this data.

5. Direct contact (WhatsApp, email or phone)

If you contact Jake directly via WhatsApp, that conversation is handled through WhatsApp/Meta's own platform and is subject to their privacy policy. Email and phone enquiries are kept only as long as needed to respond to you and, where relevant, deliver the service you've asked for.

What this information is used for

• Responding to your enquiry or request
• Delivering the service, review or advice you've asked for
• Understanding which tools and pages are genuinely useful, so the site can be improved
• Nothing else — no on-selling, no third-party marketing lists, no surprise newsletters

Third parties this site relies on

• Google Analytics — site usage analytics
• Tally — form hosting and submission handling
• WhatsApp / Meta — direct messaging, if you choose to contact Jake that way
• Netlify Identity — handles account sign-up and login, if you choose to create an account
• Netlify / Cloudflare — website hosting infrastructure, and the database that stores account and saved-tool-result data

None of these providers are given more information than they need to perform their function, and none are permitted to use your details for their own marketing.

Cookies

The only cookies currently used on this site are those set by Google Analytics for the purposes described above, plus a login session cookie if you create an account. This site does not use advertising or retargeting cookies.

Your rights

You can ask, at any time, what information is held about you, request a correction, or ask for it to be deleted. If you have an account, you can request it — along with any saved tool results — be permanently deleted. Email jake@justjake.com.au and this will be actioned as quickly as practical.

Security

Reasonable steps are taken to keep information collected through this site secure, including relying on reputable third-party providers (Tally, Google, Netlify/Cloudflare, Netlify Identity) for the parts of the system they handle. No method of storage or transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and this can't be guaranteed absolutely.

Children's privacy

This site and its services are intended for business owners and are not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as the site or its tools change. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent version.

A genuine note on the legal side

This policy is written in plain English to accurately reflect what this site actually does. It is general information, not legal advice, and hasn't been reviewed by a lawyer.
